All first-time students will incur an enrolment fee of $40. Returning students will incur a $20 re-enrolment fee

LESSON MODES

1. Experience Music will provide one, 30-minute lesson per week, every week of the school term in the form of either a face to face lesson or Zoom meeting in accordance with parent/ legal guardian’s chosen mode of learning; These are ‘SHARED’ (2 students per group lesson) or ‘GROUP’ (3 students per group lesson), ‘GROUP 4’ (4 students per group lesson) and 'ONLINE MASTER CLASS' (15-20 students per lesson) **where applicable;

2. In order to be guaranteed a place within the instrumental program, students are required to be enroled for the entire duration or remainder thereof, the school term. No partial term enrolments are accepted otherwise;

MISSED LESSONS

3. Missed lessons due to student absenteeism will be charged in full, meaning these will not be credited in the form of make-up lessons, lesson credits or payment refunds;

4. Lessons that are missed due to suspension brought about by late payment will not be credited in the form of make-up lessons, lesson credits or payment refunds;

5. Missed lessons due to school activities, public holidays or tutor absence/schedule changes will be made up as soon as is possible or credited in the form of lesson credits for the following term, or ultimately a full refund if a student chooses to discontinue on in the following term;

6. Parents will be notified where possible, of scheduled make-up lesson day via SMS or WhatsApp;

7. If students are absent during a make-up lesson day, one more attempt will be made by the tutor to carry this out. After which, the outstanding missed lesson will no longer be credited in the form of a make-up lesson, lesson credit or payment refund;

8. Experience Music will notify the parent/legal guardian of any changes in lesson schedules due to tutor absence or schedule changes. This will be done via SMS or WhatsApp;

9. Where applicable any missed ONLINE MASTER CLASS will be accessible via video recording.

FEES & PAYMENT

10. All tuition fees need to be paid in full and in advance by the commencement of each school term. Instrumental lessons will not commence until full payment has been cleared;

11. All payments must be made via bank deposit, direct debit or credit card. No cash or cheque payments will be accepted at the school;

12. Any outstanding payments that exceed 7 overdue-days will result in lessons being placed on hold;

13. Outstanding payments that exceed 14 overdue-days will result in student enrolment being withdrawn. A re-enrolment fee of $40 will apply beyond this point;

14. There is a 2-week ‘cooling-off’ period which commences on the day payment has been cleared. During this period, parent/legal guardians are entitled to receive a full refund of the entire term’s tuition fees minus any enrolment fees and fees for lessons already received should they discontinue the program. If a student discontinues after this period the remainder of the school term will be charged in full;


TUTORING & LEARNING EXPECTATIONS

15. Experience Music will provide learning materials such as sheet music, exercise papers and other lesson aides, where applicable;

16. Experience Music will endeavour wherever possible, to see that students attend their lessons on time;

17. Experience Music will strongly encourage students to develop good home-practise routines during lessons. It is the responsibility of the parent/legal guardian to monitor home practise where possible, and sign off on student practice log-sheets or exercise books on a weekly basis;

18. It is the responsibility of the parent/legal guardian to ensure that the student owns, or has access to, his/her chosen instrument at home for the purposes of home practise and Zoom meetings if applicable. It is also the responsibility of the parent/legal guardian to ensure that students bring their lesson materials to lessons (in person or via Zoom). These may include exercise books, folders and other accessories;

19. Experience Music will prepare and encourage students to perform at the yearly Soiree or recital. Where feasible it will support students performing at other school activities;

20. All personal information will be regarded with the highest form of confidentiality. Experience Music will not distribute, disseminate or share any personal information to any third party/parties under any circumstance in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2000, or otherwise consented by the parent/legal guardian;

21. Where appropriate changes are required, it is the responsibility of parents/legal guardians to notify Experience Music at the nearest opportunity;


BEHAVIOUR EXPECTATIONS

22. As your child/children's primary school expects that students will behave in a respectful manner towards others and towards others’ property, and parents/legal guardians are reminded that Experience Music also shares these expectations during the music tuition of its students;

23. Any behaviour that is not in accordance with the expectations of Experience Music which results in damage to property, will result in parent/legal guardian incurring the cost of repair or replacement of such property;


CONCERNS & FEEDBACK

24. If parent/legal guardian has concerns or feedback regarding tuition, they must be directed at the nearest possible time to Experience Music;
